Celebrating Adoption
WCF celebrates the joys of adoption by providing refreshments at annual adoption hearings.
Over the summer, WCF partners with Idlewild Park in Ligonier to sponsor an Adoption Day picnic.
This annual event allows adoptive families to create valuable connections and lifelong memories in a fun, relaxing environment.
Each November, Westmoreland County sponsors Adoption Day at the courthouse. This is a special day for children, their families, their caseworkers, and even for the judges as children are officially adopted by families. WCF supports this momentous occasion by providing refreshments for the celebration.
Inspiring Adoption Video
To commemorate National Adoption Month (November), Headspace Media in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, produced a video to spread awareness about adoption and the children in foster care who are waiting to be adopted.
Adoption Day
WCF provids funding for the annual National Adoption Day in Westmoreland County event.
